Guildford Flames and the newly branded Motorpoint Elite League are set with fixtures for the 2026-2027 season. The league campaign will consist of 54 games, with each club playing the other 9 teams 6 times each; 3 home and 3 away.  Challenge Cup will make up the bulk of the opening portion of the schedule with 10 group round games.  Flames share a group with Sheffield Steelers, Nottingham Panthers, Cardiff Devils, Manchester Storm and Coventry Blaze.  A home and away game against each of those clubs will be the proving ground for a top 2 group spot to advance to the Semi Finals or a 3rd place finish to compete in a one off elimination game contending for an additional Semi Final berth.  

Kicking off an expanded preseason schedule, Flames will visit Cergy-Pontoise in France for their opening challenge game on August 22^nd.  They will make a trip to Bristol Pitbulls on August 29^th before taking home ice for the first time on August 30th at 6pm against the same opponent.  

Challenge action continues September 5^th and 6^th welcoming Coventry Blaze to Spectrum on Saturday 5^th at 6pm before travelling to Blaze Sunday for a 5:30pm start that closes the preparation game schedule. 

Challenge Cup action gets underway Saturday, September 12^th at Cardiff Devils before the Cup home opener, Sunday 13^th at 6pm against Sheffield Steelers. 

“I mentioned earlier in the summer that the trip to France will be a good chance to get away for a few days with everyone spending a lot of time together as part of team building for the season ahead,” said Head Coach Paul Dixon.

“From start of training through to the Cup schedule, in addition to the games, we have much more time together and on ice training than we have ever had previously and we are hoping it will give us a better running start than we have in the past couple of seasons.”

“We believe in the players we have put together to be a very competitive club, and if we can keep injuries to a manageable level, we are optimistic about having a very successful season.”
