Janssen iced 37 games last term in an injury shortened opening pro season in which he scored 7 goals and 18 points with Rapid City Rush of the East Coast Hockey League. He also made a trio of appearances with American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild where he had a goal and an assist. Janssen’s opening pro activity was preceded by 4 collegiate seasons in the NCAA with University of Denver Pioneers. In 2016-2017, his final year of eligibility, Janssen was an alternate Captain and helped the side to the National Championship while recording 26 points from 7 goals and 19 assists in 42 starts. His academic-athletic career spanned 146 games and included 14 goals, 47 points and a 2013-2014 conference title in addition to country supremacy that would follow a few seasons later. The 5’11”, 190lb skater opened his Jr career with North American Hockey League’s Alaska Avalanche in 2011-2012 where he was an All-Rookie 2nd Team selection thanks to 23 goals and 25 assists in 59 appearances. He moved on to the United States Hockey League the following year where he helped the Dubuque Fighting Saints to the Clark Cup championship while delivering 10 goals and 23 points in 51 starts ahead of his college run.
