Brad Arvanitis will complete the Flames netminding group when he joins Justin Fazio and Adam Long in the crease for the 26-27 season. The 28 year old American has spent the bulk of the past 4 seasons in the ECHL, icing 3 straight terms from 22-23 through 25-26 with Maine Mariners.  Last year, the 6’2”, 195lb goaltender iced 38 regular season games while posting a 92.9 save percentage and a 2.17 goals against average. Including short stints at Rapid City Rush where he started his pro career after college graduation in 2022, and Tulsa Oilers, the native of Holliston, Massachusetts, played 105 ECHL games and finished with a 91.8 save percentage and a 2.6 goals against average.

Arvanitis began his college career at NCAA University of Massachusetts where was part of the 2018-2019 team that won the Hockey East regular season championship.  He was there for a pair of seasons before spending the 3 that followed at NCAA DIII with Babson College.  During the 19-20 season, he was selected as an NCAA III (AHCA) Third Team All-American and NCAA III (NEHC) Second Team All-Conference member.  During his final term in 21-22, Arvanitis helped his side to the NCAA III (NEHC) Championship and along the ways was named to the NCAA III (NEHC) All-Tournament Team.

“Last year we had some tough luck right out of the gate with a major goaltender injury, so hopefully health will be on our side this time around and if that is the case we believe we can put someone out every night who can give us a good chance to win.”
