6’3”, 195lb forward Tyler Busch will ice a 2^nd season at Flames. The former Cardiff Devil played 55 times this past season, scoring 13 goals and 37 points. The 30 year old skater iced the previous pair of EIHL terms at Devils, appearing 127 times across League, Cup and Continental Cup duty where he posted 30 goals and 61 points while helping them to a Continental Cup Bronze medal before following up with the tournament’s Championship trophy in 24-25. 

After 4 seasons at NCAA Arizona State University, the Canadian began his pro career in 2020-2021 with Swedish side Tranås AIF before returning to North American for a pair of ECHL terms at Fort Wayne Komets and Iowa Heartlanders. The stretch included brief AHL stops at Henderson Silver Knights and Iowa Wild.

“Tyler’s 2-way game was on full display last season, and he was impactful on a nightly basis,” said Paul Dixon.

“He is useful in the faceoff dot, killing penalties, creating net traffic on the powerplay and pays attention in both ends of the rink.”

“He was a significant focus of our recruiting in terms of returning players, and we are pleased to know he will be with us when the puck drops in August.”
