Clarke-Pizzo joins Bristol on 2 way
The Flames have agreed to put Morgan Clarke-Pizzo on a two way arrangement with Bristol Pitbulls. The 22 year old’s primary team will continue to be at Spectrum, but he will be assigned to the Pitbulls to secure more game time while training full time with Flames and still available for Flames duty when called upon. The native of Peterborough has appeared in 17 games so far this season, scoring the game winning goal on October 2nd against Fife Flyers. “Morgan is a good young talent, and right now we can’t get him enough ice time with the number of high leverage situations and games we are facing as we move through the schedule,” explained Head Coach Paul Dixon. “At the moment we have a fully stocked forward line up with 13. That makeup was done by design to give us the depth to get through the season, but is has the downside of taking away ice time from a player like Morgan.” “This is a great situation now to be able to help push him along training wise, call upon him when there is a better opportunity in a given game, but also make sure he is getting much more regular game reps with Bristol throughout the season.” “Morgan is excited about this as a good development solution, and we are looking forward to seeing his growth as the season progresses.” |
