The Flames have signed American forward Peter Crinella and Canadian Defenceman Bradley Lalonde.

Crinella, 25, is fresh off a point a game pace with ECHL Wichita Thunder where he had 27 goals and 50 points in 51 starts to go with 9 AHL call up appearances at Springfield Thunderbirds that included a pair of goals.  Last season was the East Longmeadow, Massachusetts native’s 3rd straight with Thunder and he departs the US based club with a 2019-2020 All star game appearance and a career tally of 60 goals and 111 points in 169 games.

The 6’2”, 195 lb forward preceded his pro debut with 4 NCAA seasons at College of the Holy Cross from 2015 to 2019 where he made 129 starts and registered 21 goals and 48 points.

6’1’, 215lb, Lalonde will make his UK debut after starting his pro game to close out last season at ECHL Greenville Swamp Rabbits where 28 games produced 2 goals and 12 points immediately following the completion of a 3 year academic stay at USports Concordia University. He had 1 goal and 5 assists in a covid shortened 8 games this past season ahead of his move to the pro level.  His best USports term was his first in 2018-2019 when he was a conference All Rookie team selection thanks to 6 goals and 21 points in 28 starts and 64 career games produced 15 goals and 42 points.

Born in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, the 24 year old blueliner spent 5 seasons in major junior hockey from 2013 to 2018 with Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, Victoriaville Tigres and Baie-Comeau Drakkar.  During his final term at Drakkar, he flourished as an offensive threat when he had 13 goals and 44 assists in 60 games to complete his development stretch on 45 goals and 166 points in 287 outings.

“At front and back with these 2 guys we have added a lot of skill to the roster.”

“Peter had an outstanding season at Wichita and he has a skill set that should translate very well to our bigger ice surface style of game.”

“Bradley has a little less pro experience, but he made an impressive start at Greenville after an excellent run in university, so we are excited to what he will bring to our back end group.”

“We have always tried to play an up tempo, skilled game and we are confident that both these guys at their respective positions will be a big part of helping us keep up that trend.”
