Fredericks added to Roster
The Flames have made a roster addition with centre iceman Logan Fredericks joining the club. The 5’11”, 185 forward began this season with ECHL Wichita Thunder after a 13 goal and 25 point showing last season in 61 starts during his pro debut. The 27 year old spent the previous 4 terms with NCAA DIII University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point where he iced 90 times across his collegiate career, scoring 23 goals and 61 points. During the 2018-2019 set, he helped the club to the DIII conference and overall championship title. In 2015-2016, his final year of junior, the American headed North to Canada where he starred with Kirkland Lake Gold Miners of the NOJHL. He was the league’s goal leader with 51 while adding on 38 assists for an 89 point haul and a First All-Star Team selection. “What we have found this season is we don’t have as much depth up the middle as we might like so bringing in a quality centre iceman is something we think will give us a boost moving forward,” explained Head Coach Paul Dixon. “Logan is a very good two-way guy who can handle himself in his own end and also should be able to contribute in offensive situations as well.” “Logan’s immigration papers are all sorted, and he is in the country now, but will not be available for tonight’s game.” “We are excited to have him join us and we look forward to getting him in the line up.” |
