Schedule line up kicks off with Amiens challenge The Flames will gear up for the new Elite Ice Hockey League schedule with a pair of challenge games on home ice against Amiens who play in the French Magnus League. The opener will be Saturday, August 31st and they will follow up with a Greatest Hits Radio Kids Go Free night on Sunday, September 1st, both games at 6pm. From there, Spectrum’s team will move into the Challenge Cup with games on September 7th and 8th. The full season schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. “We will have been on the ice together for 2 weeks ahead of the visit by Amiens so it will be a great chance to test ourselves in live action early against a good team,” said Paul Dixon. “It has probably been about 20 years or more since we hosted an internationally based team. Doing something a little different adds a bit of excitement for players and fans alike and we are all looking forward to our first weekend of action to kick off the new season.” |
