Netminder Travis Fullerton will return for a 2nd stint as part of the club’s 3 goalie group.  The Canadian backstopper iced in 1541 minutes during the Flames Patton Conference run and finished 4th among all netminders with a 91.0 save percentage and 2.96 goals against average.  Fullerton joined Spectrum’s men last season after a term at Dundee Stars which followed up stops at Edinburgh Capitals in 2016-2017 and his debut the year prior at Braehead Clan.

In 2014-2015, the 6’1”, 185lb stopper played in 1 American Hockey League outing but spent 44 games in the East Coast Hockey League where he had an outstanding 2.68 goals against and a better than 91 save percentage as follow up to a strong 45 game showing with Las Vegas Wranglers the year prior.  Immediately following the completion of his collegiate career in 2012-2013, the 31 year old made his pro debut at season’s end with ECHL San Francisco Bulls.

Before the pro game, Fullerton spent 5 seasons with University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds.  During his rookie campaign in 2008-2009 he helped lead his team to the capture of the University Cup championship and was a national tournament All-Star.  In the next 4 seasons, he added on a Conference All Star award, another All-tournament team selection, and 2 more National Championships all while never averaging more than 2.50 goals against a game in any season during his stay.

“Travis was solid for us this season,” said Head Coach Paul Dixon, “and his last impression in the Playoff semi-final against Belfast was certainly a good one when he nearly got us to the championship game.”

“He played well on most nights this year and fit in perfectly with the 3 goalie system we intend to employ again this coming season. He takes a team first attitude and he is just ready to play when he gets the nod.”

“Travis is a great teammate and gets along with everyone in a very tight knit dressing room so we are thrilled that he will be back with us when the new season gets going.”
