Klimek Completes D Group
Canadian Defenceman Jordan Klimek will complete the blueline group that will start the 22-23 Flames season. The 26 year old spent last season in the Hungarian Erste Liga with DEAC where he iced 48 times while scoring 4 goals and 20 points. The 5’11”, 185lb skater made his ECHL pro debut during the 2018-2019 set when he had 6 goals and 12 assists in 66 games at Kansas City Mavericks. He moved on to South Carolina Stingrays for the next pair of terms ahead of his European debut, and closed his American stay after 136 starts, 15 goals and 36 points. Prior to his pro standing, and after a full time Junior season in the BCHL in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 at USHL Dubuque Fighting Saints, the native of Langley, British Columbia, spent 4 seasons at NCAA Northern Michigan University. He made 157 appearances at the collegiate level while collecting 4 goals and 43 points across his stay, including 3 goals and 15 assists as his best offensive showing during his final term in 2017-2018. “Jordan is a guy that can handle all kinds of different situations all over the ice, including helping out in the offensive zone, and we think he is a really good fit with what we already have in place,” said Head Coach Paul Dixon. “He has 4 full seasons of pro experiences on both sides of the ocean. Between his ability and experience despite his relatively young age, we are very much looking forward to his debut when the season kicks off.” 2022 2023 season tickets available here.
