Lemos Opts for Home
Flames forward Bryan Lemos has made a decision to leave the team and has returned home. The 27 year old native of Providence, Rhode Island, made 16 league and cup appearances, recording 2 goals and 7 points. “On Monday morning this week, Bryan asked if he could meet with me,” explained Head Coach Paul Dixon. “He let me know that he was homesick and was not going to be able to continue with us this season. By the time we met, he had already made a flight for Tuesday afternoon without going through the usual team travel procedure, so the decision had been made and there was no going back.” “It’s unfortunate timing just as we sort of settled a bit and were looking forward to seeing how we get on over the next few weeks with a stable roster, but it’s the kind of personal decision that you have to respect, and we wish Bryan well in finding a comfortable landing spot closer to home. You never want someone being unhappy or generally not feeling good about where he is, so we will carry on with the guys we have now and look to see if a suitable replacement for Bryan can be found going forward.” |
