Mike Crocock Added to Roster
Canadian Defenceman Mike Crocock will join the Flames blueline group. The 5’10”, 185lb blueliner began this season at ECHL Reading Royals where he iced 21 times and had a goal and 5 points during his stay after spending last season at Tranås AIF in Sweden’s HockeyEttan where 25 games, yielded 3 goals and 8 points.
Crocock spent 4 seasons at NCAA Sacred Heart University from 2014-2019, where he iced 130 times and had 4 goals and 17 assists. The native of Brantford, Ontario began his pro career at SPHL’s Birmingham Bulls immediately following his final college season in 2018-2019. He played 14 games including playoffs then began the next season in the same place before his first ECHL appearance with Newfoundland Growlers and Reading in 2019-2020 ahead of his first overseas stint in Sweden.
“With the loss of Jesper a few weeks ago, we need to fill a roster spot and we think Mike will be a great fit,” explained Paul Dixon.
“He skates well and can handle play at both ends of the rink and I think some of the guys already know him so hopefully it will help with the quick transition to the EIHL.”
“If we can get all the paperwork lined up he may be in a position to play this weekend, but if not he is certainly an imminent roster addition.”
