Marcus Tesink returns for 3rd term
Marcus Tesink will take to the ice for a 3rd season in Flames kit. The 27 year old Defenceman has been with Spectrum’s team since making his pro debut in 2023 and has iced in 120 games, recording 2 goals and 18 points. The 5’10”, 190lb skater spent the previous 3 seasons at USports Concordia University where he iced 64 times, registering 4 goals and 16 points. Ahead of his university stay, the 25 year old dressed nearly 3 terms in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Moncton Wildcats, Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and Saint John Sea Dogs between 2014 and 2018. He appeared in 123 games while posting 2 goals and 15 assists before spending his final year and a half of junior eligibility with Chilliwack Chiefs of the British Columbia Hockey League. Tesink had 5 goals and 34 points in 86 starts and helped the side to the 2017-2018 RBC Cup national title. “Marcus has been a solid presence for us since he arrived,” said Paul Dixon. “After last season’s injury riddled roster, particularly playing well short at the back for long stretches, we have opted to start the season with a little more depth than we did last Fall. Marcus is a great fit for our lineup. He skates very well and is able to effectively go back and retrieve pucks. He is professional both on and off the ice and he works hard to be ready each and every day.” “We are excited to welcome Marcus back to the club for the 25-26 season.” |
